General meditation (2025 edition)
This meditation plan offers a weekly meditation topic associated with various biblical passages that can enrich reflection on that topic.
The biblical passages were selected because of their relevance to the topic being meditated upon. These are:
  • Passages which, complementing each other, allow a biblical principle related to the subject of meditation to emerge,
 and/or
  • Passages which, by confirming one another, allow us to measure the consistency and scope of a biblical principle in relation to the subject of meditation.

Meditation is generally organized into several successive sub-themes presented in chapters. Biblical passages are thus presented grouped according to these chapters.
A biblical passage will be quoted only once, and therefore in only one chapter. This also applies to the meditations offered over several weeks.
As far as possible (there are many exceptions), this meditation plan avoids discontinuous quotations from the same biblical passage in order to favor a presentation of the text as a whole and to allow the reader to perceive its coherence.

Users of this plan are advised to organize their meditation as follows:
  • At the beginning of the week of meditation, without consulting the proposed verses, the reader develops an initial proposed response to the meditation theme, identifying the verses that inspire him/her,
  • Only then does the reader study the proposed verses in order to assess to what extent they strengthen, complement, or adjust their initial proposed answer.

The suggested chapter divisions should not be imposed on the reader. Reader is encouraged to reorganize his/her reflections according to his/her own thematic logic.
The reader should not hesitate to read beyond the suggested passages to gain a more complete understanding of the context.
The list of suggested Bible passages is by no means exhaustive. If the reader deems it necessary, he/she should include other verses in his/her meditation to expand and deepen his/her reflection.

Since this meditation plan prohibits the use of fragmented quotations from the same biblical passage and requires the use of single quotations, the reader should keep the following points in mind during meditation:
  • Some parts of the biblical passages cited may sometimes stray from the topic under consideration,
  • A biblical passage may cover the themes of several chapters. The meditations that are particularly relevant to this point are marked with the note « many biblical passages are likely to relate to several chapters ».

May you meditate deeply on the Word of Life, guided by the Holy Spirit.
